"Très bruyant à cette époque de l'année dès très tôt le matin et jusque parfois très tard le soir. Mais c'est la contrepartie inévitable de la localisation dans le secteur historique. La difficulté pour se garer mais nous avons cependant toujours trouvé une place de parking pas trop loin et gratuite. L'absence de climatisation mais la canicule de cette année était probablement très exceptionnelle."

"I congratulate the imagination that melded the contemporary bathroom and kitchen into a medieval building in the heart of the old Sarlat town. Manorial comes to mind—large rooms, high ceilings, and an open fireplace worthy of the Sun King himself. Original beams and stone features reeking of age. What a find!"

The location is exceptional, offering a direct view of the stunning cathedral and the lively food market held on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The property is beautifully designed with taste and care, perfectly reflecting the charm of Sarlat. This quaint, historical gem of a town holds a special place in our hearts, and La Pivoine does it justice in every way. The hosts were very communicative and pleasant, and the site manager was a delight to deal with. While the unit doesn’t have dedicated parking, we had no trouble finding a nearby street spot—even during the busy Christmas season. We highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Sarlat. In fact, I’d go so far as to suggest making a special detour just to stay here!"

Comfortable bed, good shower, stunning kitchen, wonderful little balcony to watch the life go by. We loved the cathedral bells which just complimented the atmosphere of the place. Very communicative, helpful and friendly hosts. Highly recommended- it does not get better than this! ❤️"
